How The Athleticus Helped Support Her Journey

Like many of our members, Dr. Beach faced the challenge of balancing her responsibilities that came with being a full-time emergency room doctor, wife, and mother of four.  Her physical fitness took a back seat for decades as she prioritized medical school, residency, fellowship, and raising a family.

When you’re ready to put your fitness first, we’re here to empower a healthier, stronger, and more confident you.

Navigating the Challenges of Traditional Gyms:
When she was ready to get in shape, Dr. Beach faced the common challenge of feeling intimidated by traditional gyms. Many of our members tell us about the anxiety they feel when going to a big gym. Overwhelming crowds and unfamiliar equipment create a vibe that’s more intimidating than motivating. The lack of personalized attention and rigid schedules can leave you feeling lost and discouraged, making it hard to establish a solid and effective fitness routine.

Dr. Beach found herself sticking to one machine, keeping her head down, and struggling to find a routine that worked for her.

Discovering The Athleticus:
The turning point in Dr. Beach’s fitness journey came when she discovered The Athleticus. Tired of failed attempts and fad diets, Dr. Beach decided to give personalized training a chance, and it made all the difference. Working with a personal trainer at The Athleticus, she began to feel like an athlete again.

The Power of Personalized Training:
For Dr. Beach, the personalized approach at The Athleticus was a game-changer. Unlike the anxiety-inducing experience of big gyms, the supportive environment of our fitness studio allowed her to break free from the one-machine routine. With a focus on personal training, The Athleticus provided Dr. Beach with the flexibility she needed to accommodate her demanding schedule as an ER doctor and mom.

Since prioritizing her physical fitness, Dr. Beach has experienced not only a transformation in her body but also a strengthening of her mental health. After years of being a devoted wife, mom, and ER doctor, she found herself grappling with increased anxiety. However, committing to a fitness routine at The Athleticus has brought about a positive change, helping her manage stress and boost her overall well-being.

Dr. Beach’s fitness journey is a testament to the transformative power of prioritizing health, even in the midst of a demanding and hectic lifestyle. At The Athleticus, we are honored to be a part of her inspiring story, and we invite you to explore the possibilities of your fitness journey with us.

Join our community, and let’s embark on a path to a healthier, stronger, and more confident you!

Update: A year later, Dr. Beach is still training at The Athleticus! She trained for several weeks with our orthopedic experts to strengthen the muscles around her knee for a planned knee surgery and was able to recover well and quickly after. She was out of the knee brace and off crutches in record time! Dr. Beach never stopped training, doing isolated upper body work when she could not train legs, and maintained her health and fitness routine consistently. The hard work is paying off! She looks and feels better than ever and has built up real and tangible habits of strength and resistance training. She works out 2 or 3 days a week, no matter what. That has been inspiring to our team and to all of our members!
