Tailored to You
We will conduct a complete assessment of your current level of fitness first. Then we’ll focus on fundamentals and mechanics of the exercises before we ramp up the intensity or guide you into advanced moves. We are 100% confident that you can do it. And we are here to help, no matter what your fitness journey starting point is!
Each Session is About an Hour
Each session is about an hour. Depending on your fitness goals, the Foundations program runs 6 to 12 weeks, and we work with your schedule to create a mix of gym and home workouts 2-4 times a week for the duration of the program. In your training sessions, we will cover the program principles, technique fundamentals and correct form for the foundational movements. Most if not all exercise movements are based on these foundational principles and once you are comfortable with the basics, you will very quickly progress to variations and modifications, which will add variety and fun to every workout.

The Athleticus has an extremely high coaching standard of all our personal trainers, and we are very focused on ensuring our clients are learning and training with proper positioning and technique. We take the time to improve and elevate each of our members’ fitness knowledge and education every single day. We want you to reach a point of proficiency and confidence quickly, and our goal is to empower you to workout independently for life. So, we work together to set you up for success and make you feel like a valued member of our community. This not only minimizes injury, it makes training much more fun and effective, which will get your confidence level to go up through the roof!
It's OK to Modify
All the major lifts and movements will be taught from your current ability level with an emphasis on technical proficiency. Basic homework assignments will also be created if you want to get some extra practice. No equipment? No problem! We’re used to thinking out of the box, and bodyweight movements can absolutely challenge and motivate us. The Foundations course is designed to be fast-paced, but very focused and necessary. We want to give you an excellent introduction to the fundamental strength and conditioning movements which you will build upon and improve.

We track your progress using some good old fashioned notes, as well as the incredibly sophisticated InBody body composition analyzer, which measures your muscle mass, hydration, limb symmetry, visceral body fat and balance. You’ll always be able to see your progress and gains.

Wondering what you need to get started? A loose, comfortable workout outfit, a pair of sneakers, and readiness to begin! You don’t need any tools, gadgets or prep – we have you covered! Our certified personal training team will work with you to determine the best focus and most convenient schedule, and our strength and mobility assessment will help you feel grounded and confident in your fitness plan and progress. Don’t worry if you don’t have home equipment either – when we discuss at home supplemental workouts, we will create programs that work with body weight and whatever you already have at home – even if it’s just a chair. Our goal is your success in mastering foundational movements and progress!
